:TESTO:Tomorrow I shall run away to Balticon, a Science Fiction convention at the northmost edge of the Greater Baltimore Area. I've never been to a con, and this is a lovely opportunity to give it a try without being stuck there all weekend. Neil Gaiman will be there, whose web-log I read frequently. I may bring my copy of Beowulf and have him sign it (as he's writ the script for a coming-soon film adaptation of such), if the lines aren't too daunting. I regret that pre-registration for the Klingon Feast is closed.

I must take two busses to get there -- although it's only blocks from the light rail, the light rail (on Sundays) doesn't start early enough to get me there for the earliest thing I want to see (a panel discussion with Neil Gaiman and Gene Wolfe), and stops running hours before I want to return (the Balticon Film Festval goes rather late). So busses it is, perhaps a taxi on the way home, or maybe I'll arrive late by rail and miss the panel (yet still arrive in time for the Live Theater production of "Have Browncoat, Will Travel") to save myself some bus-jumping heartache.
